A reliable headlamp you can grab and go without overthinking it makes every early morning launch or late camp chore easier. The Silva Scout 3 is that headlamp, a no-fuss, capable light built for everyday outdoor use.
Silva's Intelligent Light technology combines a focused spot beam with a wide flood beam in one unit, giving you clear visibility at distance and up close without constantly adjusting your head angle. At 220 lumens with a 50 metre beam reach, it handles everything from setting up a tent in the dark to navigating a trail after sunset. The large on/off button is easy to operate with gloves on, which is a detail that gets appreciated fast once the temperature drops.
The Scout 3 runs on 3x AAA batteries and is compatible with Silva's rechargeable Hybrid Battery (sold separately), so you can start with disposables and upgrade when it makes sense. At 84 grams including batteries, it sits comfortably on your head through long use without the headband shifting. IPX5 water resistance means it handles rain and spray reliably, making it a solid choice for paddlers, campers, and hikers across Canadian conditions.
