- BEGINNER MODEL ROCKET SET: The Estes Pathfinder Launch Set gives aspiring rocketeers ages 10+ the chance to build, launch, and recover these 2 flying model rockets. This set includes the 15-inch Venture and 14-inch Prospector rocket designs, a Porta-Pad II Launch Pad, and an Electron Beam Launch Controller. For a successful launch, you will need rocket engines, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and four high-quality 1.5-volt AA alkaline batteries (sold separately).
- SOAR UP TO 1,000 FT.: With a sleek design and lightweight body, each rocket model in this duo can soar to a projected altitude of up to 1,000 ft. (305 m) using A8-3, B6-4, or C6-5 Estes rocket engines (sold separately). This exciting performance highlights real-world STEM principles like aerodynamics, propulsion, and safe recovery systems.
- READY TO ASSEMBLE: Rocket building inspires creativity and a passion for science and outer space! Our beginner rocket kit comes ready to build and requires approximately 1–2 hours of build time per rocket, offering a rewarding hands-on STEM activity for classrooms, families, and hobbyists. Customize your rocket with the included decals, then pair it with your launch pad and controller for an unforgettable launch experience.
- SAFETY FIRST, FUN ALWAYS: Our rockets are designed to be used with the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code. Always ensure you have an appropriate launch site, stand back at least 15 ft., insert the safety key, issue a countdown, and then you can let your rocket fly!
- ESTES EDUCATION: Since 1958, Estes has created educational rocket kits designed for an unforgettable launch experience. As a family-owned, US-based company, we offer exciting and engaging STEM products for all interests, skills, and power levels.
