DRAWN FROM LIFE: A Journey of Resilience, Family and Art

In Drawn from Life, artist Ugo Paradiso takes readers on a journey from the sun-drenched streets of Southern Italy to the vast, open plains of the American Midwest. This is more than a memoir about art; it is a profound reflection on the "behind-the-scenes" philosophy of a life lived with purpose. When a major surgery threatens to silence his creative voice, Ugo embarks on a radical experiment; learning to paint with his non-dominant hand. What begins as a struggle for recovery transforms into a revelation about the power of letting go and the resilience of the human soul.Through a series of personal essays, technical insights, and stunning original artwork, Paradiso explores:The Roots: How childhood memories in Italy shaped a unique artistic vision. The Philosophy: The importance of discipline, emotional intelligence, and art as a form of therapy. The Process: Finding beauty in the "unpaved roads" of life and the unexpected gifts found in vulnerability.Honest, evocative, and deeply personal, Drawn from Life, is a guide for anyone seeking to find their own voice, embrace their heritage, and discover the miracles hidden in the everyday.
