- Vintage Decorative Plate, Victorian Courting Couple Fragonard, Gold Filigree Iridescent, Romantic Revival Wall Plate, Old World English Cottage, Traditional Decor, Grandmillennial, (Discontinued)
- Made in Japan
- Vintage: Mid 20th Century (estimated)
- Details: This is a gorgeous plate, similar to the Limoges plates made in France. It has the classic Victorian Courting Couple decal known as Fragonard, and inspired by the works of artist Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806). The plate has gold filigree within an iridescent band, bordered by a royal blue wide band, with embossed swirls, truly a work of art. It is stamped on the back Made in Japan, which indicates porcelain made for export. The logo, a U within a triangle may be a manufacturer mark, we were unable to identify. For decoration ONLY, not food safe. We carry several other Fragonard style plates, in smaller sizes. Please search our site for Fragonard to view all. We offer 20% off with the purchase of 3 or more plate, (mix and match from our entire Decorative Plates collection), please Contact Us, don't forget to let us know which 3 plates you would like to get the discount code.
