The Silicon acts as a sealing layer between the hot flask and the casting chamber flange adapter Gasket provides a good seal, allowing the vacuum to fully pull the molten metal into the flask. These gaskets are Press cut, have a thickness of 1/8" and come in various diameters to work with individual flask OD sizes. NOTE: Gasket ID is slightly larger than 4" to easily fit perforated flask into the casting chamber. The outside diameter has a wide 5/8" surface area to assure a good seal.
